Save Our Enviroment
Good
afternoon the honourable adjudicator and all of the audience. I’m Nadia
Miftahul Ilma from Kediri Senior High School , and today I’m going to deliver a
speech about “Save Our Enviroment !”
Ladies and
gentleman,
The biggest challenge
that mankind is facing in this century is “Global Warming”. Every nation, every
forum, every where and in everything, they discuss about global warming and how
to save our mother earth from this biggest threat. With the number of natural
disasters growing high everyday, it is like the earth is crying out loud for
our help. We must do our part and it will be our next generation that will feel
the effect.
Ladies and
Gentleman,
Maybe not
all of us can be experts and not all of us can be experienced climatologists.
We’re all just normal people with day jobs and we do hope maybe we can make a
difference. Everyday people all over the world realize that each one of us has
potential to make a difference in our community and in our environment. And it
starts with us, we have to be the messengers and we have to be the one who
starts caring about this planet and starts taking action in making a better
world.
As a member
of young generation, I would be lying if I said I don’t have worries about the
future. Of all the dramatic consequencees of our unressponsive reactions,
apathetic responses and global indifference, we can no longer say, “Well, at
least it won’t happen in my life.” Because the truth is that deadline is
drawing closer.
We as an
individual also can make a difference . The question for us now is, how can we
as individuals do our part to save our world?
The answer
is simpler than you may think. You don’t have to go miles away from home to
protest or spend masses of money. If you try to follow the few simple steps I
shall now give you, you will have started to help our world
Ladies and
gentleman,
If everybody
stuck to these rules, we should be doing a great thing by protecting the earth.
So please take into consideration to what I’ve said and try to do your part.
I’m just an ordinary kid hoping that hopefully being here today and speaking
can somehow make tomorrow a better place for myself and my generation and those
who follow. But it will take more than hope to fix the situation we have found
ourselves in. Our cause doesn’t start and end with this rally. We must continue
this struggle tomorrow and the day after and carry with us this dedication to
preservation of this planet, it’s resources and it’s life forever onward, that
maybe it might be instilled into the hearts of those around us. Like most of
you, I’m just an ordinary person trying to make a difference. I’m asking you
now please join me. This earth belongs to us as human, when anything bad
happens to it, we are in charge to make it right. Thank you .
